Hannah Bassett is an enterprise reporter covering the Vermont Statehouse for Seven Days, an award-winning alt-weekly newspaper. She joined the newsroom from the Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting, and she has previously reported on issues related to Medicaid, public health, policing, criminal justice and homelessness. Her work has been published in ProPublica, the Center for Public Integrity, Votebeat and appeared on NPR, among other outlets. Prior to becoming a journalist, she worked in NGOs and federal government, specializing in government transparency and health policy.

Hannah holds a master’s degree in data journalism from Stanford University and bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tufts University.
