Hannah Bassett is an investigative reporter with the Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting and a corps member with Report for America. She has reported on issues related to public health, policing, criminal justice and homelessness. Her work has appeared in ProPublica, the Center for Public Integrity, Arizona Mirror, Tucson Daily Star, Navajo-Hopi Observer, Source New Mexico, and on NPR and Phoenix’s NPR-affiliate station, KJZZ, among other outlets. Prior to becoming a journalist, she worked in NGOs and federal government, specializing in government transparency and health policy.

Hannah holds a master’s degree in journalism from Stanford University and bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tufts University.
